I started skating when I was 3 and I think that is when you should start. You start playing in a league when you’re 4(not always but most of the time the leagues start at 4)

You can start skating with your child at age 1 or 2. Skating lessons start at age 2 though.

In Calgary, beginner hockey starts at age 4 which is the first sort of league.
Then tyke hockey is age 5-6
Novice is 7-8 and that is when it is more of a true league, rather than a parent/coach-aided game.

1) As soon as they can skate.
2) I’m guessing 5, but it may be younger.
3) Anything under 4.

It’s never too early to start teaching a child to skate i learned as soon as i could begin to walk. I actually people who have better balance on skated than they do in sneakers.

You can start playing hockey when your 3 or 4

The child should be about 5 before they join a league.

After they can walk they should be able to ice skate.

as long as he or she has the right equipment and is able to skate or even stand up he can be as young as he or she is able
